See if you can catch yourself complaining, in either speech or thought, about a situation you find yourself in, what other people do or say, your surroundings, your life situation, even the weather. To complain is always non acceptance of what is. It invariably carries an unconscious negative charge. When you complain, you make yourself into a victim. When you speak out, you are in your power. So change the situation by taking action or by speaking out if necessary or possible; leave the situation or accept it. All else is madness. – Eckhart Tolle, The Power of Now

I understand that complaining offends God. Accepting things the way they are, is the mark of a perfect Christian. Thank you Fr.

God sees and knows my situation, yet He tells me to ask that which I need in prayer, and I do just that, presenting my situation to Him praying that He takes charge of the matter. Thereby letting Him be God over all. Knowing that He alone can change the situation.

Thank you Fr for sharing. God bless your Ministry.

Very true indeed. Complaining sure has a lot of terrible consequences. May God grant us the grace to speak out positively and turn even the worst situations to great assets. Thank you Father for sharing and many thanks to Eckhart Tolle; I find the title of the source document, ie “ Power of Now” even more exciting. I truly thank God for the creation of so many great minds as this.

Very true indeed. It’s for us to be the change agent. Rather than complaining, we should start somewhere. Thanks Padre.
