Remembering our PARENTS
“God had a plan in placing us in our particular families and cultures. And the more we know about our families, the more we know about ourselves — and the more freedom we have to make decisions about how we want to live” (Peter Scazzero).
Today, a huge part of our neglected humanity is begging for love and attention: the holy remembrance of our PARENTS. When we say PARENTS, it means Great, Great, Great … grand parents, grand parents and immediate parents. Friends, we are super carriers of our parents’ covenant, blessings, curses and genes, others are blood, bones and numerous heritage whether spiritual, biological and cultural. We live in an era that separates us from our PARENTS AND FAMILIES. Today, pray for all our PARENTS both living and dead. Remember them, call them, establish charity foundations and immortalise their names. Visit those who are still alive and say to them “I LOVE YOU.” Do not forget, they gave us GOD AND LIFE. Blessings!
“People will not look forward to posterity who never look backward to their ancestors.” ― Edmund Burke.
The Lord says: “Listen to me, you who pursue righteousness and who seek the LORD: Look to the rock from which you were cut and to the quarry from which you were hewn; look to Abraham, your father, and to Sarah, who gave you birth. When I called him he was only one man, and I blessed him and made him many” (Is. 51:1-2).
