The Rosary of the Blessed Virgin Mary is a form of combined prayer that has been around for over 1200 years. A prayer that integrates vocal and mental prayers. This prayer over time has suffered serious neglect and worse still abuses. A very efficacious prayer that is constantly relegated to the background. A core issue affecting the power of the prayer is the neglect of its mental dimension. At the heart of the mental prayer that is associated with the Rosary is meditation. Most importantly the course outline for the subject of interior life is simply meditation. A lot of us today are inexperienced about meditation and are even frightened by the word! The fear of silence is at the root cause of the challenge at hand. Some people complain of interior noises and guilt of sins when they sit to meditate. Again, until we return to this spiritual exercise daily, it will be difficult if not impossible to develop our spiritual life. Find time daily to meditate and you will never regret. Meditation supports the mind, calms our senses and opens our heart to self-awareness, divine mysteries and the power of God. Through the spiritual exercise of meditation, we can experience the peace of direct personal contact with God. Meditation is not about emptying our minds. It is the highest form of concentration in which the mind is focused entirely on God. Do not be discouraged if your attention drifts and worldly thoughts intrude. Simply begin again as if you had just begun. Continue your practice faithfully, with no expectations, and cherish whatever blessings come your way. The Rosary is always a special and accessible instrument of prayer to meditate and enjoy the benefits of meditation.

Nice one Father. Meditation is the Crux regarding the Crown of Roses prayer. The Angelic Salutation which introduced the incarnation of Jesus Christ cannot be trivialised by mere vocal recitation without a nexus to the mental, but should be necessarily accompanied with the mental pondering of the chief mysteries of our Lord Jesus Christ and of His Blessed Mother Mary. We pray for a fruitful October Devotion as it progresses. All to Jesus, through Mary our Mother.

Meditation promotes spiritual growth, draws one closer to God. A very good way of starting the day. Well done Father.

Indeed Padre, I think the Catholic church has everything but needs someone that will constantly remind them about it especially the Rosary. Mary bless your ministry
