ST. AGATHA, Patron of Women with breast diseases/cancer!
Today the Church, celebrates the memory and good works of St. Agatha. St. Agatha was martyred during the persecution of Decius in 251. She was tortured for the sake of Christ and the faith by the removal of her breasts and “so she is now the patron of women with breast diseases.” We pray for all women experiencing various health challenges and specifically breast cancer for their healing, recovery and the courage to live on and testify about the goodness of God, Amen. St. Agatha – pray for women with breast diseases and cancer in particular.
